The principal factor generating anxiety in school education

across the social classes is mathematics, which eventually turns into

a phobia making students averse to mathematics.

It escalates into a “mathematical divide” in the society

making some people “mathematically challenged.”

This divide is undesirable but not inevitable.

The genesis of mathematics lies in the fundamental human faculty

of cognition which unfolds and develops through his day to day life praxis.

It is not an artifact created by specialized skills,

or a surgical action to be performed by

an external agent upon the ‘object’ child. It is a process of

unfolding and flowering rather than scolding and operating…

Games make immense contribution to the mental health and

growth as the generators of unconditional joy, liveliness and

enthusiasm among all and particularly the children. Challenge, thrill,

fun and enthusiasm are the  essences of any game.

In addition to the fun in playing these games, children can get

an amazing new treasure of interrelationship between various numbers,

particularly through the games such as ‘Fun with Numbers’ and

‘Fun of three digit numbers’. These games would fathom new ways to grasp,

experience and think mathematics.

It will inculcate a new approach, aptitude and even

an appetite for mathematics.
